All moved in to the residence hall for my summer as a Student Orientation Leader!

It’s weird because I still have my apartment, but am forced to go back and relive the residence hall experience. At least I love the other 29 people I’m working with to death! They’re already like family to me.

I’ve made this place my home already by putting up some movie posters. You guys know me and my posters, ha.

I most likely won’t be on here really at all this summer just because of how demanding my job is. I’ll be on from time to time, but know that I love you all and you’ll still see some photos I post on occasion.

Things to be Proud of Today

• I found out I received a 100 on my Art History paper.
• Completed one of my classes for the quarter.
• Received the “DJ of the Year” award at the banquet tonight.
• My professor in class today said my project as of now was “Pretty Good” which is essentially the highest compliment he can give. I still think I misheard him…
• Helped the old gentleman (he’s a pastor) that lives in my apartment building carry a bunch of stuff from his apartment to his car because well, he can’t really lift.
• Wrote two papers, both from start to finish.

All in all, it was a fantastic day! Tomorrow’s got some competition!

I worked out, cleaned the apartment AND finished all my homework before 8pm?

A Night Alone Before Going Home

So I’ve got the apartment to myself tonight, as both my roommates have already left for home for Thanksgiving Break. I’m usually not here by myself, or really here at night other than to do some work, so I didn’t quite know how to entertain myself.

Naturally what I did was go and order from this restaurant “Olives” down the street. They have some of the best burgers I’ve ever tasted. Trust me. My particular burger consisted of Brie Cheese, Spinach, and Apple Butter on a Toasted Kaiser Bun. It was appropriately titled “Miss Daisy.” The description read: “Wholesome and well-mannered, she is the object of affection for many growling stomachs.” I’d have to agree.

Now here I sit in my apartment, eating this wholesome burger, drinking some rather cheap green tea and watching “Midnight in Paris.” All in all, I’d say I’m spending the evening just right. Not too adventurous and probably quite depressing from an outside perspective, but wonderful all the same.

I hope everyone enjoys their night as I am mine.

FINALLY HAVE INTERNET IN THE APARTMENT.

Cable too : ) We just need an extension for the chord to get to the box/tv.

No more stealing internet from neighbors. Fun while it lasted-NOT.
