Date #8: Picnics, Disney and Diaries

Could this date with Theryn have been any more perfect? Honesty, I don’t think so.

We went and had a picnic in this really beautiful park not far from where I live and had the classic setup: blankets laid out on the big green lawn space, food packaged in little bags, the park filled with families and dogs galore-it was straight from a movie I swear.

We people watched practically the entire time and almost felt creepy at points, but we couldn’t help ourselves! There was the classic scene of a dad getting frustrated while trying to teach his kids how to ride a bike and the mom trying to console them. We also saw this couple strangely examining all the plants around the green and we both took turns voicing what they could potentially be saying (like in the movie Date Night). I was laughing so hard that at one point that the woman of the couple turned and gave me this weird look. Within reason I guess. I did look a little crazy.

There were about a THOUSAND photo-shoots going on with all the different families that were there and we were just chilling in the middle of all of them. We’re probably going to be in a lot of photos, ha. Once we felt suffienctly awkward and in the way, we left to go back to my place. On the way back, “A Whole New World” from Aladdin came on and we each took a part. Somehow I got Jasmine’s part, haha I tried to fight it but he just sang louder and wouldn’t hear my defense. 

Back at my place we watched a couple episodes of Vampire Diaries because he’s in love with the show and I’d only watched the first episode. I have a feeling I’m going to keep watching it. I’m invested in the characters now, dang! After that we parted ways. Always sad to see him leave as he’s always the highlight of my week. That sounds really cheesy, but I mean, it’s true.

Oh this guy…

Plans have been released today in relation to Disney making Star Wars VII. Coincidentally, plans have also been released for my grave! Weird!

I always wondered if the salesman in the beginning of Aladdin just made the whole story up to try and get me to buy a cheap lamp.

My roommates and my one roommate’s brother AND MOM just left to go to a party.

AND HER MOM.

Here I sit, at home, doing homework, watching The Aristocats (on VHS) on a Thursday night. I’m content.

How old am I? I think I’m a mix of 6 and 80. What do you think?

Disney/Pixar Internships

I think I’m going to apply for the Disney and Pixar internships! Both would be a dream to work for and neither would hurt my chances at anything. I might as well apply and see!

I’m pretty confident in my chances to become a Student Orientation Leader for the summer and following year (Interview Wednesday!), but one can never have too many back up plans, right? What do you guys think about this?

Now we’re watching Aladdin! It’s an animated sort of night.
